The MIA’s coronavirus immunisation rollout is unlikely to be significantly impacted by new national advice on the AstraZeneca vaccine. Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the Pfizer vaccine is the preferred option for adults younger than 50 – following blood clot concerns associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine. The European Union’s medical regular listed unusual blood clots as a “very rare” side effect of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Wednesday.
