Griffith East Public School’s Student Representative Council hosted a fundraising day, raising upwards of $1000 for the Griffith Carevan Organisation | The Area News

Griffith East Public School have raised over $1000 for the Griffith Carevan Organisation through the work of the Student Representative Council. The students organised a ‘Green Day’ to support the van, asking students and staff to wear green clothes for a gold coin donation and selling baked goods from the visiting van. The food was all coloured green to reflect the van’s colour scheme, adding to the theme of the day. Some classes through the day were invited to tour the van and ask questions about the program, which provides food for families and individuals facing hardship in Griffith and the surrounding areas. At the day’s end, the school had raised $1322…
