A teenager driving 55 km/h over the speed limit and a 34-year-old who threatened and spat at police are just two of more than 100 caught during one of the busiest Easter operations ever for the region’s police officers. Officers were conducting duties along the Sturt Highway at Darlington Point on Saturday morning when they detected the male driver travelling at 145km/h in a 110km/h zone. After stopping the car, officers spoke to the p-plate driver, an 18-year-old man from Sydney, who produced a NSW P1 provisional license plate which restricts the driver to a maximum speed limit 90km/h.
