Police are investigating after two local businesses suffered break-ins last week. The BP Top Town petrol station and Lola & Iris boutique both had their front doors smashed in seperate incidents. A witness told police he noticed two people with “gloves and face coverings” using what appeared to be a street sign to smash the glass entry door to the service station just before midnight on February 19. An alarm monitoring system was also triggered at the store. According to police, a “large hole” was smashed in the front entry door and windows to the business were “jimmied open”.
